The Message I Got at 3:12 AM.

 3:12 AM.

I got a Slack message from one of our outsourced team members:
“Sorry for the delay — my province had a power outage, but I’ve pushed the update live now.”
No complaint. No drama. Just ownership.
That moment stuck with me.
Global teams are built on a quiet kind of resilience.
The kind you don’t always see in the metrics or dashboards.
If you manage outsourced or remote talent, don’t forget:
Behind every task is a person balancing their world with yours.
Check in. Say thank you. Celebrate effort, not just output.
Sometimes, leadership looks like sending a message back that just says: “You didn’t have to — but thank you.”
